The Global Talent Stream (GTS) is a specialized pathway under Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program that helps innovative Canadian employers quickly hire highly skilled foreign workers. Through streamlined processing, many work permits are issued in as little as two weeks, enabling businesses to fill critical roles in tech, engineering, and other in‑demand occupations without lengthy delays.
GTS Categories
There are two employer pathways under the GTS:
Category A – For employers referred by a designated partner and recruiting unique, specialized talent.
Category B – For employers hiring from a list of in‑demand occupations (e.g., software developers, engineers, data scientists).
